Import/Export BCF Files

If you have collaborators working with software compatible with OpenBIM formats, issues can be imported in BIM Track from BCF files or exported as BCF at the end of the project for archiving. BCF files can be exported and imported from the issue list on the web platform. To generate a BCF file, select the desired issue from the list, click the gear icon  and select 'Export'. At this point select the desired format and click 'Export'. The file will be generated in background so you can keep working while it's processing. A web & email notification is sent as soon as the process is completed.How to Export:

  1. From the web platform, open the 'Issues' page. 
  2. Select the issues you want to export using the checkbox at the left or by holding the [CTRL] key.
  3. Click the gear icon  at the top right.
  4. Select 'Export'.
  5. Select a file format. (It is also possible to export the issue in Excel format)
  6. Click 'Export'. 
  7. Open the export notification(Web or Email) to download the file. 

How to Import:

  1. From the web platform, open the 'Issues' page.
  2. Click the gear icon  at the top right.
  3. Select 'Import'.
  4. Click browse and select the BCF file on your computer.
  5. Select default values for missing attributes. (Optional)
  6. Click import. (At this point your issues will be generated 1 by 1. This process may take a few minutes if you are importing a large file. A web & email notification is sent as soon as the process is completed.)
