March 28, 2017 (BIM Track 1.9)

New Features:

  • Tekla add-in is now available in a beta state. As this is still in its early stage of development, please be aware that some issues may still exist. If you encounter any, please forward them to support@bimtrack.co and we’ll make sure to fix them prior to the official release. For now, the add-in is only available for Tekla 2016i but we plan to add support for more versions very soon. Our Tekla add-in can be download via the “Download Add-in” section on http://bimtrackapp.co.
  • Our web based 3D viewer now support IFC4 files. Please keep in mind that IFC format is an open format and still in development. If you notice any issues, please let us know and we’ll investigate them and forward any relevant information to buildingSMART.
  • It is now possible to add captured images directly to the comment feed of an issue using the add-in.
  • It is now possible to export the user list present in the hub to an Excel format. This feature is available under the hub management tab on the web.
  • It is also possible to import a user list from a text box. To import a large user list, separate the emails on a single line using either a space, a tab, a semicolon (;) in between or by entering one email per line. This feature is also available under the hub management tab on the web.
  • You can now export all the issues contained in a project to an Excel format for either review, reporting or archive purposes. This feature is available in the issue list of a project on the web.
  • The last web/add-in connection is now displayed in the hub management for each user.

  • BCF import and export will now be processed in background. We felt this was more convenient for the users as, previously, you had to wait until the processing was completed to continue navigating through the web platform.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the add-in to crash when publishing an issue from the add-in while in a 2D view.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the clash spheres to not display at the exact location in some case when a true north rotation was applied to the project base point in Revit.
  • Fixed an issue where the line return would not work in the comment & description areas of the add-n.

“We are proud to announce that our service will now be redistributed worldwide using CDN technologies (Content Delivery Network). The goal of a CDN is to serve content to end-users with high availability and high performance. From now on depending on your location, you will connect to the closest distribution node available instead of systematically being routed through the US servers to access our service. This should greatly improve the platform’s performance for those who are located outside of North America.”
