Symptom
When you try to activate your BIM Track account, you may encounter the error message Ooops! Something went wrong indicating that the captcha validation failed.
Cause
This message usually appears when your password contains less than 6 characters, but it can also be caused by the web browser.
Resolution
If you use Chrome, the first step is to update your version of Chrome (see https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95414?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en).
If the update does not resolve the issue, you must activate your account from another web browser (avoid Internet Explorer). We suggest that you temporarily set Edge as your default browser:
- On your computer, open the default apps, then click on the default browser to choose another one.
- Then change your password by opening this link in Edge: https://globalauth.bimtrackapp.co/Account/ForgotPassword?ui_locales=en
- Once the connection is established, you can return to your favorite browser.
If you are still denied access to BIM Track, please change your password from this link: https://bimtrackapp.co/en/Login.
Finally, if the problem persists, please contact your project administrator so that he/she sends you the activation link one last time (to make sure it hasn't expired). Now open this link in Edge or Chrome.
After one of these steps, you should be able to activate your BIM Track profile. If not, please notify us.
