This article lists some of the common reasons why models do not align with each other in BIM Track.
Project base point is too far from the internal origin point
Unclip the project base point and move it within 10-15 kilometers of the internal origin point (see Move the Project Base Point). If you have already created issues, you may need to make some changes (see Edit an Issue).
Shared coordinates have been set incorrectly
Ensure that the grids and levels of the different linked models fit and that the survey point is in the same location.
Project base point is used instead of survey point
There are two reference points that control coordinate systems: the project base point and the survey point. Make sure to ask for the site coordinates to use for the survey point.
No project base point or survey point was ever set
One of the first steps of any Revit project is the definition of the project base point and survey point (see Define the Project Base Point and Define the Survey Point).
